  • Close, Closer: The Guide

The Close, Closer guidebook is your must-have material for understanding and navigating the third Lisbon Architecture Triennale. With detailed content on the complete programme, including the 100 Associated Projects, it affords a comprehensive view of both the scope and ambition of Close, Closer’s curatorial statement as a whole, but also the significance and criticality pursued by each event, individually.

For Triennale visitors on-site, it will be the perfect, portable, event companion.

Post-Triennale, the guide will become an invaluable reference as a repository of key content pertaining curatorial proposals, participant projects and featured events.

The guide is divided into the five poles of practice examined throughout the Close, Closer programme: Speculation, Intimacy, Dispersion, Agency and Pedagogy. Designed by Zak Group, all content was written, designed, drawn and/or photographed by the curatorial team, project participants and guest contributors.

  • E-books

The 2013 Lisbon Architecture Triennale will produce six special edition digital publications. Available online and for all e-readers, the books collectively intend to locate the themes and ideas behind Close, Closer into a broader global context.
The publications, each edited by the Close, Closer curatorial team will replace the traditional printed catalogue. While there will be printed matter, the Lisbon Triennale is pushing forward alternative publishing strategies to establish new formats for communication. These platforms respond to a more open environment for exhibitions and allow the content to be widely disseminated and economically produced.

    Available on iBookStore and AmazonKindle.
