WHO LIVES NEXT DOOR? intends to instigate a critical reflection about distances and forms of social interaction, and its role in the construction of the current reality. As editors of the number 10 of the journal Daedalus, the editors will present the work of social and urban potential of Corujeira - Campanhã, a forgotten fraction of  Oporto. This action was divided into three phases 1st was Approach: Dédalo interacted with the population, trying to figure out the subtleties and peculiarities of the place. 2nd was Plan for Action: a workshop tutored by architects, artists and sociologists, with the aim of studying the possibilities of social and urban transformation. Currently we are preparing the 3rd stage: Build to transform.

A country road. A tree. By nightfall. A conversation with Jorge Gaspar, João Mendes Ribeiro, Luis Santiago Baptista, Inês Moreira, Francisco Luís Parreira and Carlos Pimenta.

The guests will approach the play "Waiting for Godot" (1952) by Samuel Beckett, on the occasion of its return to the national stage as a fulcrum to a critique of representation of urban space in their contemporary valances. In a time when, more effectively than in exile, the same desolation of Didi and Gogo provides the permanent axis of experience and subjectivation, in the face of urban rubble, concrete or symbolic, of destroyed cities (Aleppo, Sarajevo, Baghdad ...), it is worth asking what Godot corresponds, in this context, the process of sense, and what does he have to say to the actuality of the urban experience?
